The Quickest Fix

(Pookie and Sebastian Top, Kimichi and Blue Shorts, Steve Madden Socks, Steve Madden Wedges)

Nobody was at home to comment on my outfit so naturally I sent a pic to my gay best friend.  Note the floral shorts, clearly I'm really sick of winter.

Virtual Vintage

(All images taken from Dan-T-Chanvintage.miiduu.com)

I love vintage clothing but tend to get a little overwhelmed at the thought of thrifting and perusing vintage shops. So, I was really excited when this online vintage store reached out to me and asked me to review their site.  The prices are extremely reasonable and they have some awesome pieces.  The store is constantly updating its site with new pieces so if you don't find anything the first time around, don't be discouraged, you'll find something soon. The pictures above are some of the things I would love to have.  To be honest, I left off my favorite dress out of fear that you guys would buy it and leave me empty handed.  Again you can shop at www.Dan-T-Chanvintage.miiduu.com.
Happy Vintaging!

Gospel Gaga

Gaga closed with Born This Way and brought out some fabulous gospel singers to accompany her!

Lil' Monsters

#sohappyicoulddie

I crafted the hair bow in my friend Ryan's hair.  Numerous people asked to take pictures with her.  If i wasn't a blogger or a law student I'd be a hairstylist. Duh.  If you want to style your hair like Gaga and Ryan, here's the tutorial that we used.

Show Me Ya Teeth

I made a spontaneous decision to go to the Lady Gaga concert last night.  Our seats were nosebleed but it was so worth it, especially when you have a camera with incredible zoom.  I swear to you it was the best concert I've ever been to.  Gaga put on an unbelievable performance, singing live for two hours straight.  She teased us the entire night saving Bad Romance for the penultimate performance.  Definitely worth the wait.  Her costumes were amazing, she must have changed over ten times.  Firing sparks from her boobs, adorning her hand with a giant skeletal claw, and transforming herself into a Glinda the Good Witch ice sculpture.  The theme of the night was unity and New York City.  My friend Ryan and I were so impressed and so inspired we literally could not speak to each other for the first twenty minutes after the show.
Gaga is set to come back to the tri-state area in April, definitely snatch some tickets.

Death by Chocolate

I've been meaning to post about this cake for a while.  I had the pleasure of indulging in this chocolate masterpiece a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it.  My friend Sonia baked this cake all by herself for our friend's birthday bash and it was absolutely amazing.  Its super rich so you don't have to eat a huge piece to be satisfied.  She got the recipe from here.  Definitely try it, its flourless and really easy to make!  Pair it with some whipped cream and a glass of milk.

Don't Get Caught in a Bad Romance

Hi Everyone!  I was asked by Refinery29.com to promote Sir Richard's Condom Company.  Sir Richard's works with Partners in Health to help promote safe sex across the globe.  As an advocate for women's rights and reproductive rights, safe sex and accessible contraception are two issues that are extremely important to me.  I'm honored to help them promote the brand and hope that you guys will decide to participate in the deal that Refinery29 and Sir Richard's Condom Company are sponsoring.  Here are the links to buy condoms and enter into the contest to win diamond studs.  Happy Valentine's Day! Be Safe!

Inspector Valentine

(Zara Trousers and Belt, H&M Blazer, Mossimo Flats, Piko 1988 Shirt, Michael Kors Trench)

Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun, Inspector Valentine, Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Da Doo.  Here I am, searching for the mystery of love.
Although I have recently become single, I decided not to dress in the usual single-girl-in-black outfit for Valentine's Day.  I found this to be an opportunity to channel spring and designated Valentine's Day as an honorary trouser day.
The heart around my head is my homage to Gaga.  Born this way.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FASHIONISTAS!

Just the Coolest Kid

(F21 Leather Jacket, F21 Flannel, Pete Versus Toby T-Shirt, American Apparel Leather Leggings, Converses, Style & Co. Scarf)

I scored this shirt on a trip to Greece two years ago.  By score, I mean I kinda stole it from one of the kids on our booze cruise.  Needless to say, I think he was pissed but I'm pretty sure he took my iPod.  Fair Trade.  This outfit was inspired by the Converses.  My friend Brittni suggested that I pull something old from my closet each week and center a post/outfit around it.  I strongly believe that these shoes give me cankles but I took her advice anyway and I was pleased with the outfit.  Perfect for a Friday full of frolic.  I've been into black and white lately because in New York is a black hole of snow, ice and windchill but the shirt added some necessary color and was a good talking point throughout the day.

Chicago Photo Diary

 (Dragon Roll)

 (Thanks Chicago!)

 (Duh.)

 (Convenient Full Length Mirror)

(Coolest thing I've seen in 2011)

 (Future Michelle Kwan)

(Deep Dish Pizza)

I jetsetted to Chicago this weekend.  Did some touristy things.  Among my favorite sights were The Bean in Millennium Park, the ice skating, and the Field Museum where I neglected to take pictures because I was far too enthralled with Ancient Egypt.  The pizza was really good too, although I'd take New York pizza any day of the week. Made it back in time for the Super Bowl!  Naturally I rooted for the Packers because the Steelers employ a former rapist.  Go Packers!

I Got You Babe

So Punxsatawney Phil and Staten Island Chuck both didn't see their shadows this morning!  For those of you who don't know what that means, you live under a rock and should ask someone to explain it to you.  In honor of the upcoming spring, I picked out some cute spring pieces that I thought you guys would like.  I'm really into pastels and floral for this spring.  Also loving the chiffon in this last dress and the silk cape over the creamsicle shirt.  Love the straight-from-the-80's floral denim skirt.  While it may look a little hard to wear or too reminiscent of your first grade wardrobe, I am definitely going to pick one up, pair it with a beige silk shirt and some killer wedges.  I am also pretty fond of the top romper.  Pair it with a blazer and flats for a workday.  Throw the flats aside, pick up some pumps and a trendy turban and hit the Lower East Side bar scene.

P.S. If you haven't figured out the title of this post, immediately put Bill Murray's Groundhog Day on your Netflix queue and thank me later.
